Dudes,

I am looking for help to install Oracle 10 G on Windows 7. I have downloaded the 10.2.0.3 version but I cannot install it because an error is occurring.

‘Checking operating system requirements.

Expected result is one from 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 6.0. Actual Result is 6.1.

Checking completed.

So the result is failed.

Oracle database 10 G does not have certificate on this OS. Recommendation – Please confirm you are installing the application on the correct platform. Service pack checking result is not executed.

Windows Vista V 6.1 is not supported. Please install the recommended service pack. Physical memory expectation is 256 MB and result was 1406 MB. So that checking was passed. Network configuration checking failed. Problem found that the IP of the computer is assigned is DHCP.

Oracle supports installation on computers with DHCP assigned IP, but you should configure the MS Loopback adapter as the primary network adapter in the computer.

See installation guides for more details regarding the installation of software on DHCP configured computer. '

I have installed the MS Loopback adapter, but is  no change in the results. Please give me some inputs. I will be grateful for all the help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Try to check first you system suitable to your software before installing to your computer and then if your operating system is windows 7 and then 32 bit or maybe 64 bit this compatible to the Oracle 10 and then normally it gives an error while installing the Oracle 10 G from your operating system and the  from the of the Oracle 10 G just simply right click the icon and just select the Run as administrator and click on the reinstall using recommended setting and then this time the setup will complete without error and then the installation will close automatically.

Just simply right click the properties  of the Oracle 10 G and select the Compatibility tab and just simply check the run this program and then select the windows98/windows me and after just click the ok and run again.
