Having issues with pinging a machine

I've configured a site to site VPN between two TMG servers. However, I can only ping a machine on the remote site when logged on to the TMG server. I can't ping it from any other machine in the network. Any idea how I can sort this out? The TMG server is the default gateway.

Having issues with pinging a machine

To”pinging” your machine you have to disable all the firewall in your system, which is not a good idea at all. Or you have to create an exception rule for ”ICMP” to reply your ping command in existing firewall, without disabling the firewall completely.

Just follow the steps to create your own rule:

• Go to control panel select firewall
• You will see the windows firewall either on or off.
• Go to advanced setting > inbound rule> new role.
• Click on custom and press next.
• Mark all programs and go next.
• Click protocol type > ICMP4> any IP> next.
• Put a name for this rule and then click finish.
