I heard that Spanish telco has joined Equinix Cloud Exchange to connect to multitude of cloud providers. It is expected that this business venture will provide all its customers the ability to choose from the best combination of cloud infrastructure, platform and software service providers to ensure they can put the best possible hybrid cloud solution in place to meet their individual business needs. What is your opinion on this business collaboration?

That’s true. The Spanish telecommunications company Telefónica revealed that they will be providing direct connectivity to Equinix cloud exchange. This is their attempt to boost access to a much wider selection of commercial cloud services. This connectivity will be offered via its international IP MPLS network into Equinix’s system of cloud service providers in chosen Equinix IBX data centers over Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe.

Telefónica said that joining Equinix cloud exchange will provide its customers better access to a larger range of cloud services. This is because Equinix cloud exchange is an interconnection solution allowing on-demand, direct access to numerous cloud networks and platforms which are hosted in Equinix IBX or International Business Exchange data centers.
