Greenway's entry to the Microsoft's Imagine Cup is a mobile application that will help drivers and, hopefully, end traffic jams.

The application aims to distribute traffic efficiently by suggesting route options.

How effective will this application be and will this be usable in any countries or cities the driver might be?

Hi Ma McKinnney,

There have always been new inventions in the mobile applications industries.

These inventions are driven by the need to solve a particular problem. And in this case, the Greenway mobile application to distribute traffic was a success. What it does, is that it suggests different routes to drivers so that they can ease traffic jams.

Drivers can check their route and if they find that there is a jam, they can decide to take a different route. It uses the cloud technology and tracking services to suggest routes.

A study shows that during the times that traffic jam is at its highest, the use of this application can reduce it to half. However this application is used on Windows based phones only.
