Hello expert, my friend inserted 1 GB (512*2) ram on his PC. But after the computer starts it shows only 512 ram. How can I help him to test his ram? Is there any method to PC RAM memory dos test?

Its simple just follow these steps to ensure whether your friends pc's ram is ok or not.check after inserterted one module of ram in ram slot power on machine if its works properly then your that particular ram module is ok.Do same for another and it showed to you both ram slots and ram modules are ok .If one is faulty then simple replace it with new oneÂ

I’m guessing that you somehow manage to fix your RAM issue but just in case you’re still out looking for an answer then I will share you one. Let’s talk about isolation. So as we know when we deal with this device (RAM) we have to keep in mind that there’s a slot. If it’s not being recognized by your computer then possibly it would be the slot or the RAM itself. This is when isolation comes in place. You have to identify which part is faulty.
Use one RAM at a time. Insert first RAM to one slot – restart PC and if it boot to windows then you are safe. Shutdown PC then insert the second RAM – turn on and if it boots up then there’s a big possibility that the other slot is not working. However if it won’t boot up then I guess you already know the answer. Sometimes, using an eraser to erase the dirt from the RAM works. By the way you have to see as well if the new RAM is compatible with your Motherboard.
