Is Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop better than Kitkat?

I am planning to buy this Google Andoris 5.0 Lollipop. I was told by my friends that this device has several better built in Operating Software features than the Kitkat devices. I really don’t have idea about this. Can any one please suggest me with the better solution? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Is Android 5.0 contains lots of new features. Just make it easy for the user to use the smart phones. For example, you can continue from where you left, you can use multiple screen feature to complete the task tasks, the battery saver will help you to increase the battery life of your phone etc.
