GIMP Unable to read tile data from disk errors

Hello there,

A friend of mine gave an USB drive with some data and I have this error when I want to open them with GIMP. On his PC the program is working just great while opening same data. I have this error on my PC and can anyone tell me if is a problem with my PC ? What should I do ?

GIMP Unable to read tile data from disk errors

Hello,

GIMP is a heavy program with the support of extensive photo editing. In order to run the program perfectly, you’ll have to have enough RAM space to make any work.

Right-click on your taskbar, select “Start Task Manager”. Find out the applications utilizing large portion of your RAM and kill them. Be careful of killing as you might kill any system process that would give unexpected result.

Right-click on GIMP, select “Run as administrator”. This will give the right to read data from the disk.

If possible, you should upgrade your RAM to larger size.

Now, try to work with GIMP. It should go fine without giving any error.
