GIMP fails to load the projects

Hi there,

This is the error when I want to open a PSD file with GIMP. Last time it worked just fine and it helped me very much. Now with this error I am a bit behind with my project. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong ? How can I repair this ?

GIMP fails to load the projects

There are many ways to solve this problem. PSD is Photoshop file format, if you want to open PSD file in GIMP, you should install the  "GIMP Plugin separate." And open your PSD image, now it would work.

If it do not work , the other way to fix this error is to use "Image magic." "Image magic" convert the files to PNG files. However you can preserve the layer of PSD file so that you can edit the image in GIMP. 

Therefore, you can get more better results by converting the file into the TIFF format.

Convert  input.psd channel  rgba -alpha set -color space rgb output . Tiff

You should keep in your mind That when an image is converted to non PSD file format, it lost the vector information.
