Getting back lost SD data on computer

Hi,

I transferred some photos to my computer last night. Later I removed the card directly because it said, "unable to disconnect the SD card". Then when I returned it back on my phone, there was nothing. Somehow the data went missing. Is the data still somewhere or do I need to recover it? How can I recover it?

Getting back lost SD data on computer

You can choose from a variety of data recovery software. Here are 2 of the tested ones:

1. Photorec.  It’s free and can recover data from almost any device. You might not like the interface though.

2. CardRecovery. It is used mainly to recover files from SD used in cameras. It works with JPG and RAW files, video and audio files. Downside is that you can’t use it in any other image formats as well as documents. This is a paid software so might want to try the free version first.
