Genius eye 110 webcam driver for ubuntu10 issues

I'm having issues with Genius eye 110 with Ubuntu 10.  I can't use it on Skype version 2.1 and I'm only having static image.  Is this a firewall issue or an update to the software a solution to this?  I also tried it on amsn and still won't work.
