What are the distinct functional duties of the Gain knob on the mixer board console and that of the Faders on the same board? Can a mixer board be produced without implanting Faders? I would like to know also how Gains and Faders were introduced on the sound mixer board thus the concept of faders and gainers in sound production. I would as well like to know the technical distinct functions of the Pre Gain and the Gain in the field of sound production? Thank you.

Hello Avery!

This is a very interesting question but will then provide you confusion. The gain knob induces how much impact or how much input signal will be relayed from a microphone or an electronic device or source. Faders are very important for mixers. In transitioning 1-2-3 sounds and mixing it. It is like equalizers. Let’s say it’s a transition option from a specific sound to another genre. So will not notice that the sound is already made its transition. Pre gain and gain in a mixer varies on how you’re going to use it. Pre gain is the process where that transition is happening. The gain feature of sound implanted is the part where the gain must be implemented to accentuate the sound while it is being played.
