Hello Friends,

I want to install much software on my system and explore them. I came to know that windows installer takes the core responsibility. I upgraded from windows XP to VISTA. Please tell me the effect of windows installer when the OS upgrades.

Function of Windows Installer after upgrading OS to Windows Vista

Hi,

Windows installer is the only program which installs each and every software on your machine and yes you are right about having the updated windows installer for each operating system. You don't need to worry if you upgrade your OS from Windows XP to Windows Vista because both of them use the same Windows Installer which is Windows Installer 4.5. So you just need to check if you have the Windows Installer 4.5 installed on your machine.
