A Forgotten Admin Password Help?

I have a older pc that my kids have been using. I decided to upgrade their system to make it a better gaming machine. When I went to log in I could not remember the admin password. Do I have to wipe the whole machine or is there a way to recover the password?

I don't know what is your operating system's name. If it is windows 7 or 8 or 8.1, then there is a way to sort out your problem. In this way, you have to be an expert with command prompt. Using command prompt, you can change administration or any user's password who is using the computer.
