Fixing Outlook Error 0x80040900

I use outlook for my various purposes and but today when I opened it it popped up an error message that says 0x80040900. Can anyone help me solve this outlook error code 0x80040900?

Fixing Outlook Error 0x80040900

You have to follow these steps to fix your problem:

1. Click the Start button.

2. Type “command” in the search field. but do not press Enter.

3. Hold down Shift CTRL and press ENTER.

4. You are asked for an authorization window.

5. Click Yes.

6. A recording device with an associated interval display can open.

7. Enter “regedit” and press ENTER.

8. In the Registry Editor, select the 0x80040900-related key (for example, Microsoft Outlook).

9. From the File menu, choose Export.

10. In the Save In list, select the folder where you want to save many Microsoft Outlook backup keys.

11. In the File Name box, enter a name to copy the file, such as “Microsoft Outlook Backup”.

12. In the Export Interval field, make sure that “Desired option” is selected.

13. Click Save.

14. Next, this file is saved with the .reg file extension.

15. You have already backed up your Microsoft Outlook associated with the registry entry.
