I was using my PC, and suddenly an error stating ‘updater.exe application error’ occurred. No matter how many times I tried closing it, the issue continued. Now, I need to fix it. Do suggest me some ways to fix this method. Thank You in Advance.
Fix updater.exe application error.
Updater.exe application error mainly occurs due to malware in our PC.
- Check if you have the latest version of Windows. If not, do update the windows. To check if you have the updated version, click on Start Menu and then click on the gear icon to open ‘Settings’ or type ‘Settings’ in the Search Bar of Start Menu. Now, click on ‘Update & Security.’ Click on ‘Check for updates’ to see if there is any update or not.
- Try uninstalling the application which you do not use.
- The issue can be solved if you scan your whole PC with a trusted antivirus application. The antivirus will itself, fix the error most of the time.
- If you do not have any antivirus program installed in your PC, try scanning your PC using the command prompt. Press Windows + R; the ‘Run’ dialog box will open. Write ‘cmd’ in the text box and then press Ctrl + Shift + Enter together to access the command prompt as administrator. In the command prompt type ‘sfc /scannow’ and press Enter. It will take some time to scan your PC.
