My cinnamon resource cpu percentage is always high that push me to close down other applications? Is this a bug that I’m not aware of? Is there a fix for this issue out there? Let me know.

Cinnamon consuming lot of CPU is a worry. There is a simple solution to solve this problem out. What you need to do is remove the network-manager applet from the Cinnamon. After that you need to restart Cinnamon. Now you can see considerable amount of CPU usage has been reduced.
In other case if you want to keep the network-manager applet what you need to do is lengthen the interval of UpdateIcon function on a second timer. And this will also decreases the CPU usage.
