I need a file comparison tool in batch, that will compare the files inside a particular folder and its subfolders. Please suggest me the best tool that is available for free.

WinMerge is the best file and folder comparison tool available for free. It can compare files and folders and present differences in visual text format which is easy to understand. It also provides you with an option that allows you to compare files within sub folders. You can save each file and folder comparison as project.

File comparison tool in batch

TreeSize Free tells you where precious space has gone to. TreeSize Free can be started from the context menu of a folder or drive and shows you the size of this folder, including its subfolders.

You can expand this folder in Explorer-like style and you will see the size of every subfolder. Scanning is done in a thread, so you can already see results while TreeSize Free is working. The space, which is wasted by the file system can be displayed and the results can be printed in a report.
