“File cannot be located on the specified location” error on SolidWorks

Hi.

This concerns the software named Solidworks.  I tried to click on an element in the tree and after that clicked the right-mouse button (RMB) on a dimension as well as selected "Configure Dimension".  After that, I got the following error message:

Solid Works

The properties.txt file cannot be located at the specified location

C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSolidWorksSolidWorks 2008langenglish;.The SolidWorks software will use the properties.txt file located at <install_dir>langenglish.

OK

Please give me a solution. Thanks a lot.

Too bad I don’t have a 20/20 vision to be able to read the message in the image you posted. But anyway, if you are having a problem using the application, check its settings first. Maybe you haven’t properly configured it yet that’s why some of its functions work the other way. If there’s no problem with its settings and the program seems to be properly configured and the problem still appears, try uninstalling it and then install it back. This will fix any corrupted files in the installation and will restore its settings back to default.

You may also try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application when checking the system.
