Hi

I'm trying to upgrade and install the Fedora software package with Add/Remove Software on Fedora version 10 but I get the following error message:

I need to solve this. Please help.

Thanks.

The package list needs to be rebuilt.
This should have been done by the backend automatically.

Fedora software package error “No package cache available”

Good day to you. I have thoroughly researched your problem in the internet and these are the solutions I can offer:

An uninterrupted internet connection during the process is necessary. So first, you must be connected to the internet when using the Add/remove software. So open a terminal and log in as root then-

yum clean all

yum check-update

If everything seems ok then go for the Add/ Remove Software Tool again. Now you’ll see that you are no longer facing the problem.

And just to be sure you should check that your proxy settings are properly configured or not.

Also I advise you to use YUMEX for any Add-Remove something.

Hope this solves the problem!
