I got ‘error 1603 fatal error during installation’ when I was trying to install Windows Installer Package. What could be the possible causes for this error?
This ‘error 1603 fatal error during installation’ is faced if any of the following cases is true:
• Windows Installer is trying to install an application that is present on the computer.
• The drive which contains the folder in Windows Installer Package is being installed is accessed as an alternative drive.
• Your Windows Installer package folder is encrypted.
• SYSTEM account is used by Windows Installer to install the software so the folder in which you are trying to install it may not have full control permissions.
