Fallout 76 Shows “Vault-Tec Engineers Are Hard At Work Getting Our Servers Back Online! (CommunicationError)”

Last weekend, I tried playing Fallout 76 to continue with my progress but when I started the game I receive “Vault-Tec engineers are hard at work getting our servers back online! (CommunicationError)”. I tried checking my internet connection and it seems fine and I can browse the internet. I tried restarting the router but it didn’t work.

Fallout 76 Shows “Vault-Tec Engineers Are Hard At Work Getting Our Servers Back Online! (CommunicationError)”

I’m not sure if this error is common since the game received a lot of negative feedbacks but I’m sure several users encounter this. First, check that your internet connection is working. Open your web browser and visit any website then try clicking some links. Verify that the links are working then try Fallout 76 again. If this doesn’t work, try restarting the router.

If the router has a power button, press it to turn it off then unplug it from the power for about ten to twenty seconds (10 – 20). Press any button on the router to drain any leftover power or to power cycle. After this, plug the router back to the power and turn it on.

If this doesn’t work, try temporarily disabling your antivirus or firewall then try again. If this works, try adding Fallout 76 to your antivirus or firewall’s exceptions. Add this path to your antivirus or firewall’s exceptions:

• C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda.net Launcher
