I would like to upgrade my Exchange 5.5 server to Exchange 2007/2010.

But before that I would like to know the various Exchange 2007/2010 features that correspond to that of Exchange 2003?

I will give some of the new features that you will find in ms exchange 2007 that are not in the older ms exchange 2003.

These are:

  • Exchange Management Console, which is one of the two new administrative interfaces that have been incorporated in the Ms Exchange 2007. This interface is based on Microsoft Management Console, which is required to install and also for the management of the Exchange 2007. It combines all of the management tasks into one user interface, and with it you can be able to manage all the Exchange servers, the recipients, and also the organizational components in your Exchange 2007 organization.
  • Exchange Management Shell,  which is a new task-based command line shell and also a  scripting language that can be used for system administration. With Exchange Management Shell , you can be able  carry out every task that the Exchange Management Console is able to perform and any other additional tasks which will not be able to be performed in the Exchange Management Console.
