Errors when Avira antivirus scans the system

Hi guys

I am using the Avira antivirus on my system. I started scanning files but when Avira is scanning my system, it suddenly gives me an error on the screen.

The screenshot of the error is attached below:

The message states:

Avscan.exe – Application error

The instruction at 0x72b1f7c9 referenced at 0x00000100. The memory could not be read.

Any help why this is happening will be highly appreciated.

Errors when Avira antivirus scans the system

Hi

Problems like this occur due to a number of factors within your system like

1. If you recently had a software or hardware change
2. If you have a spyware installed and its out of date like the Spy-boot.
3. If your system is outdated and also if your antivirus is also outdated.
4. When updating the process encounters an error in the process, therefore forces to terminate.

I would recommend you uninstall or use system restore to reverse any changes that may have occurred, also removal of any spyware installed in your system would also help. Additionally all updates should be regularly installed to avoid occurring of such errors.
