Error while running wow.exe file after downloading Cata

Hello all,

I've just finished. Everything seemed fine until I ran the wow.exe file. This is when the error occurred. See the screenshot below for details.

 

It translates to mean:

The application cannot initiate correctly (0cx0000005). To close, click on accept.

Do you know what I can do?

I need your suggestions.

Error while running wow.exe file after downloading Cata

Hallo Tomson,

That error may be occurring because there is another program that is probably interfering. You should therefore try the  selective startup to see if it will help solve this issue. You should not that his mode will disable any security programs that are available and  running on your computer therefore you will need to keep off in from doing other things while in this mode.

What you will need to do is press the Windows key on your keyboard and then hold down the letter 'R'. You will then need to type msconfig in the Run field  and then press Enter. Locate the general tab and do the following:

• Choose the Selective Startup
• And then after that turn off the Load startup items
• When done with that click OK and Reboot the computer.

If you want to undo the selective startup, you will just need to recheck the Load startup items.
