Hi,

I am using complete accounting 'LL.

I was operating it with Vista, but I changed computer and now using windows 7. That was three months ago, and I still can’t install it! I have taken it out several times, removing every file then installed it again.

The install completes, but when I open it up, this error appears:

* Peachtree Accounting

Peachtree is unable to connect to its database, Pervasive, on computer JOSÉ-PC. Make sure the computer is logged in or that the database service is running. Also make sure the firewall is set to allow Peachtree and Pervasive to run. Click Help for more information. Click Refry to attempt to connect again.

Retry Cancel Help

I have uninstall and reinstall several times, but of no use.

Thank you for your time.

Error while opening complete accounting ‘ll using Windows 7

Hallo Charles,

If you were using the application without any problem when you had windows vista on your computer and now you cannot use it with windows 7 it means that there are compatibility issues. That version may only be supported by windows and therefore you will need to get a version to do the following:

  • Get a version that is suitable for windows 7. Make sure that you check the system specifications, things like is your OS a 32 bit or a 64 bit so that you do not end up getting a version that may refuse to work too.
  • You can download it from the internet or purchase it.

In the event that the error may not be due to compatibility issues, you might just want to perform a registry clean up on your system to get rid of broken files and registries just in case they are the ones causing the error.

Regards,

Carl
