Error While Configure the Settings of Cisco Unity

I was about to configure the settings of Cisco Unity when I encountered the following error message:

"Unable to open a SQL connection to the Master database".

"Setup
The following problem was found while verifying that the system meets the installation requirements:
Unable to open a SQL connection to the Master database
Call Technical Support"

What can I do to solve the error?

Error While Configure the Settings of Cisco Unity

This problem occurs during installation stage which verifying of the system meets the installation requirements. So following recommendation may help you to solve the problem.  

You have to make sure that the SQL is installed your Cisco Unity server..

You have to make sure also that the MSSQLSERVER is running on your server. If not, restartMSSQLSERVER then you install Cisco Unity. Most likely this error occurs when the SQL services on your server become inactive.  If you don’t know how to trouble set up MSSQLSERVER on your system maybe it is about time to contact Cisco support for instruction. Good luck.
