Hi,
I was installing the game GRID when I received this error message, see below.
I have searched the web and encountered one suggestion of repairing the InstallShield but the same error happened.
I am seriously confused right now and don’t know which path to go to resolve this problem.
Please help!

An error (-5001 : 0x80000ffff) has occurred while running the setup.

Error when installing GRID in PC, code is 5011
You can not fix the installer's InstallShield because it is only used as a service to install the game GRID. You got a broken installer of GRID. The game’s setup file is a compressed file and all of the required installation files are compressed inside including the setup launcher.
If the installer was created using WinRAR SFX (SelF-eXtracting) archive, you have the chance of repairing it but the success of fixing it depends on the degree of the damage in the archive. It uses recovery record to repair broken archives.
But if the installer was created using InstallShield, there is no hope of fixing it. An installer created using InstallShield is also in the form of a compressed file but this kind of archive file can not be opened by WinRAR or ZIP.
If you downloaded the installer of GRID from the internet, try downloading it again from a different website. Here’s a demo version of GRID from CNET:
