Error shown that web page is unavailable while browsing the internet

Hello,

I was just browsing the internet a few hours ago and then suddenly, I saw that a webpage is not available! It says "the server at www.google.com can’t be found because the dns lookup failed."

This error has occurred in the past and I would just refresh the page and it would work, but I can't get onto any website. I retarded my router, and on my net book (the one this posts about). It says that the connection is excellent. I retarded my net book and it still comes up with that error. I tried googling on my phone as to what to do, but it's not really giving me answers.

Can you please help?

Thank you.

To solve this problem change your DNS to 4.2.2.2. and 8.2.2.2. or go to Control Panel > Admin tools > Services > right click on DNS client and reset. After then from the command prompt execute ‘ipconfig /flushdns’

Besides it is better to have all application regular up to date. Still if you face the same problem it is better to discuss with your ISP about your problem.

Hello Alex,

To resolve that issue that you are getting, I will recommend that you use Public DNS server tool and you should as well change your DNS servers to Google DNS or OpenDNS.

Otherwise, you can try the following workaround if you are using Google Chrome:

  • You will need to open Google Chrome, and then go to Options.
  • Next you will go Under the Hood and then Change proxy settings followed by the LAN Settings.
  • Make sure that you set Automatic Configuration and then choose Automatically detect settings.
  • After that you can close Google Chrome and the restart it.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Carl
