Error seen while installing Ustream Producer 2.02

Hi all,

I have just tried installing Ustream Producer 2.02, and I'm getting this error.

So, I tried installing a different program as a test and it was fine.

I have never seen this before and have no idea what is going on.

Windows Installer
The Windows Installer Service could not be
accessed. This can occur if the Windows
Installer is not correctly installed. Contact
your support personnel for assistance

I am using win7, I5 2500k procy, 8 GB of ram, 1tb HHD GTX560ti video card. I don't know if that information is useful.

Tried restarting and installing as admin, but no luck.  Please advise me.

Error seen while installing Ustream Producer 2.02

Try to start the service manually.

You can do it in two ways.

First open command prompt, execute the below command

net start MSIServer

This will start the service of windows installer. If it throws any error. Reboot the system and execute the command again.

The other way to start this service is buy using the services, msc

try to execute this in Run, then you will see a services list search for windows installer service and start the service by right clicking restart.

This will solve your problem. These are quite common errors which can be resolved in the above manner. If the issue again occurs reinstall the windows installer by downloading it form Microsoft site.
