Hello all,

I used to run the update for Malwarebyte regularly without fail. While I am in the process of updating I got stuck up with an error message. So again I tried after some time, thinking some magic will happen but no luck. How will I update my antivirus? Please help me before anything attacks my computer. Thanks.

Error to run the update for Malwarebyte

Malwarebytes is a very good antivirus but somehow it is misbehaving with you. It is very sad.

The first step will be using the latest Malwarebytes. Uninstall the older one and then install the latest one. Download Malwarebytes.

If still the problem persists, then download and install offline update for Malwarebytes. Download update.

If no luck, then install any other good antivirus that works. Most likely your PC is infected with virus and that is preventing this issue.

We’ll use OTL to fix this issue.

1. Download and install OTL.

2. Start OTL.

3. Under “Custom Scan/Fixes” at the bottom, paste the following code:
 

:OTL

O3 – HKLM..Toolbar: (no name) – Locked – No CLSID value found.

:Commands

[EMPTYJAVA]

[emptytemp]

4. Now, start “Run fix”.

After the process is completed, run Malwarebytes update.
