Error received while loading PowerPoint

Hi experts,

I was at home to finish my report. After all was done, I need to make a presentation of it using Microsoft PowerPoint.

When I was loading PowerPoint this error message appeared on my screen.

POWERPNT.EXE-Appliation Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click OK to terminate the application.

As I am thinking on the error, I concluded that the application has an error and needs to be re installed. So I removed PowerPoint and add it again. Same problem is encountered when loading PowerPoint. With much frustration, I removed all the application of Microsoft Office and re-installed it again.

After I rebooted my computer, I tried again to load PowerPoint, but same error persisted. I am now asking for some advice on my problem.

Thanks.

Hi Thomasredmall

Did you install Microsoft Office on Windows XP Service Pack 1 and did any of following?

1. Win XP Operation System repair.
2. Re-installation of XP without removing previous Windows XP installed.
3. Updating Windows XP from Home–based version to Professional version.

Do the following to resolve,

1. Update your Operating system and Office online. If already up to date visit Microsoft Office site and reapply office updates.
2. Download correct visual C++ redistributable package for your OS from Microsoft’s official web site and install. This installs Runtime components of visual C++ libraries so that applications will run without visual C++ installed.

Thanks.

Solution:

You Said I removed all the application of Microsoft Office and re-installed it again. After I rebooted my computer, I tried again to load PowerPoint, but same error persist.

I think it’s a virus problem. Because some virus should be block computer applications. So that applications will not work properly. So you can try to re- install but the same problem comes again.

Now you first Setup your OS again then

Install Microsoft Office again.

I think it will be work properly.

► Another System:  You install a license Antivirus on your PC with full updates and scan all your drive.

Then you will re-install Microsoft Office. If your problem will solved. It’s ok.

Otherwise you setup your OS again and install Microsoft Office.
