Error Reading Volume Information Failure

Hello everyone in TechyV!

I am trying to retrieve a basic disk storage but clicking the Properties button shows this error.  

Anyone with experience solving this error are much welcome to share their suggestions.

Error reading Volume information.STS API failed. Status: 2060013 no more entries.

Error Reading Volume Information Failure

These services should be run by a domain account or service with full access to the UNC path: NetBackup Remote Manager and Monitor Service, NetBackup Client Service and Netbackup Service layer. You need to be able to logon to a media server which is the owner of the storage unit to be able to ensure this. You need to type these in from the command line to restart the NetBackup services:

 

<install dir>VeritasNetBackupbinbpdown -v -f

<install dir>VeritasNetBackupbinbpup -v -f

 

This error message may come up when the Properties button of a UNC-based BasicDisk storage unit is clicked. Hope this helps.

Dear BettyC,

Don’t worry!

1. Log on to Disk Storage first,

2. Provide full access to Net Backup Client Service, Net Backup Remote Manager and Monitor Service and Net Backup Service Layer,

3. You need to start the Net Backup services again by typing the following command

<install dir>VeritasNetBackupbinbpdown -v –f

<install dir>VeritasNetBackupbinbpup -v –f.
