Error occurred while installing MSI

Hi,

I am having trouble in installing msi in the computer. When I try to copy it in the computer I get the following error message. The error message states that ‘error attempting to read from the source install database’. How to correct the error? Anyone is facing the same error, please share your ideas. Thanks.

Error attempting to read from the source install database: D:CPDECODERPACK_GAME11CPDP.msi

Error occurred while installing MSI

When your receive this kind of message it means that at the time of re installing or uninstalling, the MSI might have been originally installed in a drive or directory, that is different than its default directory. To solve this error, copy the .MSI installer file to C:WindowsInstaller directory and then try to uninstall and re install  this again.
