Hello experts,
An error occurred while forcing to copy files. The file was not copied from the desktop when forced to copy a running file. Can you give me the best answer why there is an error while copying a file? I am using windows 7 starter operating system; I hope you can help me. Thank you.

Hi Kyle Berry,
It’s not allowed to copy if the file that you want to copy is still running. You must stop it first. If that file cannot manually stop, use task manager by right clicking the taskbar, Task manager, select the file and click the end task button.

Hi,
It is not advised to copy a running file because you will really encounter error in doing so. Copy files/folders if it is not being used by any user or any computer logged on to the computer you are using. This is a general rule that applies to all OS. Have you encountered TeraCopy? It is integrated with Windows Explorer with the following features:
<Copy and move files at maximum possible speed>
<In copying files, bad sector is skipped with its summary at the end of transferring process>
<Pause and resume file transfer activities>
