Error message while loading the DJ deck on my PC

Hello all,

I am using Windows Vista on my PC, 32 bit edition and I have installed Virtual DJ software on it.

When I am ready to load the DJ deck on my PC, I am receiving the following error message:

"Decompressing this file in memory would require 44MB of contiguous memory.

Your system has a total of 147MB available free segments (out of The 2047MB), and they are too fragmented to hold a contiguous buffer.

Therefore, the song will be loaded on-the-fly from the drive (and the full waveform preview will not be available)."

What should I do now? Please help.

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

This issue maybe due to faulty drivers that are incorrectly reporting more memory than what is actually physically available in your video card. Try installing the latest version of the drivers for your video card. These can normally be obtained from the support/driver download area of your computer manufacturer's website.

If this does not resolve the problem, then you can use the Registry Tool (http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/2170/Registry_Tool.html ) to adjust the maximum video memory that VirtualDJ can use (VideoMemMaxUse) to a more suitable setting, e.g: 128

Please refer to this link for common PC performance issues of Virtual DJ and some tips to resolve.
