Hello all,

I get an error 3 while using DigiDoc3, which shows the error message – “Failed to save document (message: Could not open file for writing)”.

It says – This is caused because I don't have sufficient rights, i.e. the user cannot write into the file.

If I save the file to the desktop this seems to put a band aid on the problem, I found that after digitally signing a

document using a pin2 code.

Please help me.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Valerie,

This kind of error you are experiencing while using DigiDoc3 is usually as a result of insufficient user rights. That means that you are not logged in at that particular time with the credentials that will enable you to write into the folder that contains the opened .DDOC file. The folder is in the read only mode. The following is what you will need to do to fix the problem:

  • Save the container is a different location (you can try saving on the desktop again) that is recommended by the DigiDoc3 client right after you have signed the document with a PIN2 code digitally.

Once you are logged in with the right credentials, everything should work just fine.

Regards,

Carl
