Error installing notebook software from CD as well as internet

Hi experts
In our school, we have tried to install new smart boards SB680. I have completed with the driver installation of smart board but when I try to install notebook software from CD or yet download the file from internet, it gives me the error message during the installation: 

The installation did not succeed Exit Error Code 1613.

Please tell me, why I am getting this message. It's very irritating when same error happens repeatedly.

Error installing notebook software from CD as well as internet

 Dear Anne,

The error basically reveals that you do not have the latest version of Windows Installer installed in your system. Ensure that you have the latest version of the installer. Please check the below mentioned link http://www.itninja.com/. This would help you understand which version of the windows installer package is required for your system.

Navigate to Start > Run > type appwiz.cpl to open the Add/Remove program. The version of the windows installer present can be noted and checked with the link of that is what is required.

Download the required version of the windows installer from Microsoft web site. Save the file to the desktop and run the same with admin privileges.

Restart the system after installing the package. Try to install the software again.
