0xA00F4244 (0xC00D36D5) error is one of the webcam error on Windows 10 PC’s or laptops. Mostly this error is seen after upgrading to Windows 10.

There are several ways to remove this error and ‘camera-in’.

Way 1: Resetting your webcam

• Open settings.
• Select on Settings and Features, locate Camera and click on it.
• Select advanced options.
• Select reset and then reboot the PC.

Way 2: Roll back your webcam driver

• Right Click on Win key and select device manager.
• Out of those options in device manager double click on Imaging Devices and then right-click on your webcam name and select properties.
• Click on Driver tab next to General tab.
• Click Roll Back Driver.
• Click yes to confirm the changes.

If your camera suddenly disappeared and can’t be detected after installing a Windows Update, try to uninstall and reinstall the camera driver. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo then select your camera software among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later.

When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then restart the computer. After booting, install the driver back or download the driver again from the manufacturer’s website.
