Dear Bellae

Making a dual boot in your system, consider following things :

  1. First install windows XP in formatted C Drive.
  2. second install windows 7 in formatted D Drive
  3. Check, is your system complete the requirements for windows 7
  4. Check, is your computer support 64-bit or only 32-bit then choose software according to your system.

Regarding your issue:

Insert windows 7 CD in drive and restart your system from CD Drive then do next two steps which are described in your screen snap shot.

Hi Bellae,

To create a dual boot with Windows 7 and Windows XP, a few steps have to be completed.

  • Obtain or create a Windows 7 installation disk.
  • Create a new partition in Windows XP, with a letter following the letter for XP.
  • Install Windows 7.
