Emsisoft Emergency Kit 2.0 Final in detecting malwares

Hey, I have just heard about the second version of Emsisoft emergency kit tool. Can anyone tell me how does it detect malware without being infected in an already-infected computer system? If it is worthy enough, I am thinking about using it in my iPad 2; any suggestions?
