Where can I find emotions that I can use while mailing in a Mac? I know I can use png files using HTML, but is there emotion central where there are ready-made emotions that can be used in email?

You can use Emoji Emoticons.
It is one of the incredible applications of apple.
It is also usable for texts, word files etc.
To download this application you have to go the Mac Apple store.

I know mailing without emotions is a bit blunt that's why every now and then we need emotions on our side. You can have these automatically added to your email after downloading a package like iChat Smileys :
Apple Icon (upper left corner of your menu bar) > System Preference > Language & Text > Text Tab > click + button in the lower left corner to add a new substitution. Type the character you want to replace and then click in the "with" box then go to special characters > Scroll down the window to find iChat Smileys icon you want to substitute then drag and drop them into the empty "with" box > Continue doing this for the rest of the substitution you want to do. Hope this helps you solve your problem.Â
