Hello,
My computer has been loaded with a lot of programs. Some programs are useful but some programs are no longer needed. So I start to clean my Computer by uninstalling some programs that I don't use them anymore.
Â
Well, I found something weird (or may it's just me that don't understand what happen) on my computer. I've installed a Nokia PC Suite for a long time ago. Now I have two Nokia phone Browser on my computer.
Â
How could this happen, And How do I remove one of this (not both of them). Right now, I don't have any Nokia phone connected to my computer.
Â
Thanks.
Duplicate Nokia Phone Browser in My Computer
Hi,
Thanks to this type of question. It is not weird or something likes that. It is just an error for your understanding. You installed Nokia PC suite a long time before then you may be trying to uninstall that but you just install a new Nokia PC suite but the previous one is also standing with a new one. This is what I think. Yes you are right but not for all conditions.
Nokia PC suite installs with more than four driver software. That’s why we can see three or four driver software under the Nokia PC suite in to add or remove panels.
Just find which driver software in here looks double and remove it.

Duplicate Nokia Phone Browser in My Computer
Here is a simple solution for you.
-
First go to Control Panel and then click Add remove programs.
-
Search for Nokia PC suite and all related programs and uninstall them. If not sure see the screenshot.
-
After uninstalling PC suite completely restart the computer.
-
Then reinstall Nokia PC suite.
Hopefully this will get rid of the duplicate icon.

In case you still get a duplicate phone browser in my computer, follow these steps:
Â
-
Click Start, then click Run. Type regedit.exe and press ENTER.
-
Navigate to the following branch:
-
Right-click on the subkey {416651E4-9C3C-11D9-8BDE-F66BAD1E3F3A} and choose Export.
-
Type nokiaphonebrowser.reg as the file name, and click Save to back up the branch.
-
You will see two subkeys named {416651E4-9C3C-11D9-8BDE-F66BAD1E3F3A}.
-
Then right-click one of them and choose Delete.
-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows  CurrentVersion Explorer  MyComputer  NameSpaceClick Yes when prompted for confirmation.
-
Exit the Registry Editor.
Â
One of the two Nokia Phone Browser entries should no longer exist when you open My Computer. If you accidentally delete both of the entries then simply double-click the nokiaphonebrowser.reg file that you created earlier.
Â
Hope this helps.
Â
Thanks.
