Driver Error Code 88780078 In Windows

I am currently using the Direct Sound software on my Windows 7 PC. I have installed the Direct Sound driver for the software. But, it is showing me an error code 88780078 upon installation. What must be the issue?

You must have disabled some of the features for sound care. You can enable them as follows.

  1. Visit the Start Menu and open Control Panel
  2. Under sound section, open the tab named hardware.
  3. Make sure your sound care is listed
  4. Go to properties.
  5. Tick the checkbox named ‘use audio features from this device.’
  6. Reboot your computer and try to install the drivers again.
