Hi,

I wanted to install DraftSight which is a free CAD software. I was able to download it and when I double clicked the set up I got an error message from the DraftSight installer as shown below. Any remedies?

Error 1320. The specified path is too long

First try running Fixit and see if the issue is resolved.

You can also try running the installation while in compatibility mode.

Some other possible solutions:
Log in as a System Admin.
Go to C:ProgramData and find the AppData folder. Rename it to anything you wish.
Install DraftSight. You should have no errors.
Change the folder name back to AppData. Restore the View Folder Settings and run the program.

You can also try deleting the AppData folder, install the program and then restoring the folder.
Lastly, you can try dragging or cutting the Application Data folder out of the ProgramData directory and onto the desktop. Install the software and then return the folder to the directory.
