Downloading Issue in Serif Web Plus X4

I have a Windows 7 laptop with 4GB RAM, 1TB Hard Disk Drive and i7 Processor. I also have an Acer Aspire T761 desktop PC with Windows XP SP3 running on it, 2GB RAM, 160GB Hard Disk Drive and Intel Pentium D Processor.

I am trying to download Serif Web Plus X4. After downloading, I go to My Computer and double-click the application to start the installation. But a message appears stating that, I need to select a program to launch the files.

But I am getting confused since there are lots of applications to choose from. I downloaded Serif Web Plus X4 on my laptop and successfully installed it without having errors. However, I cannot install it on my desktop PC.

Can someone please help me?

Downloading Issue in Serif Web Plus X4

This error will appear only if you have not installed the software properly or your system is not matching the requirements of the software.

First of all reinstall the software and check if it works otherwise match your system with the following requirements and it will surely works.

This software works at Microsoft Windows vista, window XP (32-bit) or window 7.

 

Make sure you have XP 32-bit not XP 64-bit.

The requirements for using this software are as follow.

 

Microsoft Windows vista, window XP (32-bit) or window 7

Pentium Processor

512MB RAM

DVD/CD drive

380MB hard drive space

Mouse or other pointing device

SVGA display (1024 x 600 resolution or higher and 16-bit color or higher)

Internet Explorer 5.5 (6.0 or above required for Smart Objects).

Downloading Issue in Serif Web Plus X4

Are you installing the same Serif Web Plus X4 on the desktop as that one you have installed on your computer? Because I understand that you are using different operating systems on the desktop and the laptop and therefore the applications that you install on one may be different from that you install on another.

You will need to search the internet and get a Serif Web Plus X4 application that can work on the windows version that you have installed on the desktop. When searching for the application, you will need to specify the desktop system specifications so that to get the right application to install.

Otherwise when you try to install the same version as that you have on the laptop then it will not work.
