Is Domino Web mail is not compatible with Windows 7?

Strange issue with Domino Web mail and Windows 7. I am running on Windows 7 and using Internet Explorer 8.  Everytime I access our Domino 8.5 webmail at home and download attachments that are MS Office ’07 files, they are saved as ZIP files and I have to change the extension to open the document.  This does not happen on Windows XP.

Hi Andersons,

 

I also encountered that kind of error before and I solved it by doing the following:

• Ignore the dialog box that will appear NSD or Domino 8.5 webmail finishes running.
• On the dialog box link, click the view message
• Your computer screen will be blank and it will show a command window and will open a new dialog box
• Click x  in the command window and then in the new dialog link box, click return
• Restart webmail

If this won't work, you need to make a new shortcut on your desktop with the settings of compatible mode. For example c:programfilesibmlotusnotesnotes.exe and then start in c:programfilesibm'lotusnotesfarmework
