Does a PS2 perform faster than a USB?

I normally use a plug ps 2 mouse and i want to try out the USB plug for the mouse. Will it slow down in terms of performance or will it be slower? Which reads faster ps2 or USB?

Does a PS2 perform faster than a USB?

As it concerns with using mouse it does not make any deference to use ps2 mouse or USB mouse because mouse need to transfer very less amount of data. The only problem can rise that different os do not support USB mouse. ps2 mouse has pin which can break and create problem.
