I am planning to use freeware alternative sound mixer to edit sound and audio of all types. Does freeware alternative sound mixer convert and support all media types?

It depends what media player you use for your purposes. Compare Linux and Windows, you can do all sorts of works by using Linux but Windows is very popular because it has a tremendous user interface and easy to options. So that using freeware you can do everything but you won't feel better. Thanks.Â

I would suggest you to use Fruity Loops Studio to edit sound and audio of all types. It supports all the file formats and converts them into desirable format. I am using the Fruity Loops producer version i am able to edit all the songs and have produced my own songs as well in a high quality.
