Document properties when clicking summary tab displaying error.

I have checked the properties of one of my document saved in my hard disk drive.

Right clicking then selecting properties in the menu then clicked the Summary tab then after a while my computer displayed and error which is related to Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library.

Why is this happened and how do I prevent this error?

Please refer to the image below:

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Usually this is an internal error of the actual program. Most cases are resolved when you reinstall the program. As what the image shows, you are using an OpenOffice. I think there was an error maybe during the time you are installing it.

The Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library is automatically installed as some kind of a plug in by the Microsoft Office or here the OpenOffice program. The Runtime Library received an error when you tried to access the Properties of the document.

Try uninstalling the program first then schedule a disk test or just use the Tools option of drive C to test it for file errors like cross-linked file.

Then install the OpenOffice again afterwards. See if it works now.

That Microsoft Visual C++ library error is a Runtime error that occurs if you are running two software programs that are not compatible, if your computer has memory problems, or if the computer has been infected with malicious software like worms,

Trojan horse or any other virus.

The solution to this is: first scanning for threats in your computer with updated anti- virus.

If the error still appears then you have to update the Operating system or the software or both.

Also you should have over 128MB of RAM.

Increase virtual memory to make the execution of the programs easy so that the CPU is not over worked.
