When using the DNS Event Viewer software, I am getting an error message. Due to this error, my clients are not able to ping the server of the client's systems. None of the sharing resources are working. Your attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Here you didn’t give the information about your Server and Client operating system. Login the server as administrator and please go to %SystemRoot%system32driversetc directory for a "hosts" file, if it doesn't exists create the file and add 127.0.0.1 localhost in the file and save the file, make sure the file is readable by administrator, system and users. If you find the “hosts” file in the above location then make sure it is readable by administrators, system and users. Restart the computer and using the DNS Event Viewer software and now from client ping the server and hope sharing resources are working.
